== Undergraduate Studies ==
 
Valerie Sherry graduated from Brown University in 2009 with a BA in Architectural Studies. While attending Brown, she played Division I Lacrosse, participated in the Women's Leadership Council "Women's Launch Pad" mentorship program, took studio classes at Rhode Island School of Design, and facilitated a smokeless stove-building campaign in the Dominican Republic. This experience led her to further investigate links between design, public health, engineering, entrepreneurship and construction methods.
 
== Professional Experience ==
 
Valerie has experience in Design/Build, Construction site supervision, Project management, Energy modeling, Environmental engineering and Social Entrepreneurship.
During her work experience, Valerie managed the installation of the prototype for a daylighting and solar thermal system targeted for optimal use on commercial roofs including those for retail and grocery stores, schools, manufacturing, food processing and government facilities.
 
Valerie is a Certified Passive House Consultant
 
== Graduate Studies ==
 
Valerie is currently a candidate for a Masters degree in Architecture at the University of Maryland. She is a member of the curriculum committee for the School of Architecture and is interested in cross fertilization between academic disciplines.
