Changes

I want to see engineering immersed in liberal arts.  Engineering students are allowed to take liberal arts courses from a bountiful selection, but liberal arts and engineering are not intertwined as well as they should be here at Union; there is a difference; there is a problem with this.  Although I have an idea believe the fundamental engineering courses are imperative to the proper education of daily sessionsengineers, held at nightI realize that the fundamental coursework has become the curriculum for engineers, each on different which does not allow students to step outside of the bounds set forth by the common curriculum.  The liberal arts topicsaspect of Union must exist with the engineering aspect, and tailored toward engineerscurrently it doesn't.  Any student at Union can attend My idea consists the design and implementation of a variety project idea throughout the length of discussions held each day at Uniona term.  HoweverEngineering majors, economics majors, art, most of music and political science majors would be able to work together to bring the discussions do not have anything idea to do with science or engineeringfruition.  One might ask what my issue is with thisEach member would be able to contribute to the process of forming the idea into a well-constructed presentation.  By no means do The presenation is not a normal presentation though. I plan to have an issue with with the many discussions that presentations presented at General Electric Global Research Center, which is less than ten miles away from Union hosts; I think it's fantasticCollege.  ButThere are eight Ge Global Research Centers in the world, I do propose that there and one happens to be more liberal arts discussions tailored for engineersextremely close to Union College.  For exampleCurrently, a speaker comes there are basically no existing relations bewteen the research center and Union; I desperately want to talk about his/her research on how rooms that consist of different materials effect the sound of stringed insturmentschange this.  Perhaps even a professor of music and an electrical engineering professor I would join together like for the presentations to deliver an interesting discussion, with be held at the musician actually performing a few songs in different settings to exemplify research center.  The research center has state-of-the engineering -art presentation space, and science behind many brilliant people to fill the talkspace.  Or, an entrepreneur with an engineering background can come The Union College students would be able to present in to talk about the processes behind launching one front of his/her products or servicesengineering and business professionals, creating an interactive and detailed presentation for the students sitting in on the discussionwould be able to acquire magnificient feedback from such professionals.
