I am Amanda Khourycurrently serve as President of Tri-Beta (the Biological Honor Society), where I oversee the society’s operations and coordinate social, academic, outreach, a senior biology major and statistics minor at The College of New Jerseyprofessional development events in collaboration with the TCNJ Biology Department to best support our students.
My main involvements include being the President of Tri-Beta (Biological Honor Society), conducting independent research, and working at my campus libraryǃ As Tri-Beta presidentIn addition, I direct the society's operations by organizing all of our social, academic, outreach, and professional development events. I work closely with the TCNJ biology department to ensure our events are relevant to the needs of our studentsǃ My conduct independent research focuses on the fertility effects of microtubule modifications using in C. elegans (a microscopic wormmodel). At , and I work at the TCNJ libraryLibrary, where I assist patrons by retriving with retrieving scholarly material for pickup materials and maintaining the library library’s collection.  After graduation, I plan to pursue my PhD in Molecular Genetics and Oncology with the aim of performing research using genomic sequencing technologies.
After graduation, I plan to pursue a Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics and Oncology, with the goal of conducting research that leverages genomic sequencing technologies to advance our understanding of disease mechanisms.
