== Priority 1 : Readers club ==
After observing the past few years, we have noticed that as we are now pursuing our 2nd and 3rd years of our bachelor’s degree, the majority of students are addicted to and highly habituated to mobile phones and the internet. As a result, book-reading habits are declining day by day among students. This affects them in several ways they are becoming confined to a limited vocabulary, which leads to poor imagination and creativity. It also causes difficulties in communication. To address this issue, we came up with the idea of a Readers Club. This club aims to promote book reading among students and highlight the benefits of reading books.
=== '''How are we going to do this?''' ===
* We identify students who love reading books through surveys in the college.
* Then, we make all the interested members into a club.
* We grant them an access card designed specifically for this Readers' Club and allow them to access all kinds of books in the library.
* During the club’s time, they can enter the library, sit, and read the books. After reading for some time, we will conduct group discussions on the books according to their interests and the genres they are reading.
* In the group discussions, students can present their views on the books and authors. This also improves student-to-student interaction and allows them to observe diverse perspectives of others too.
=== '''How will students get benefited?''' ===
* Students will develop a regular reading habit, which enhances their vocabulary and comprehension skills.
* Reading books will improve their imagination, creativity, and critical thinking abilities.
* Group discussions will boost their communication and presentation skills.
* Interacting with fellow readers will help them share ideas, gain new perspectives, and build confidence.
* Overall, this initiative will promote intellectual growth, focus, and a positive academic environment among students.
= Priority 2 : Tech magazines =
Engineering students often get caught up in their demanding academic work, which makes it challenging to keep up with the latest technological advancements and innovations. As a result, many remain unaware of important developments in their fields, missing out on valuable knowledge that could enhance their learning and future careers. Without an easy way to access current tech updates, students struggle to stay connected with industry trends beyond their coursework, Engineering students, often engrossed in academics, miss out on critical tech advancements. To bridge this gap, we propose a monthly Tech Magazine featuring innovations from all college departments (CS, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.), keeping students informed and connected with industry trends.
=== '''How are we going to do this?''' ===
* Form a Core Team: We will create a dedicated team of students from different engineering departments who are interested in technology, writing, and editing.
* Content Collection: The team will gather information from reliable sources — including research papers, college projects, seminars, and global tech updates.
* Magazine Design & Editing: The collected content will be edited, formatted, and designed into a professional-looking monthly magazine, both in digital and print formats.
* Monthly Release: The Tech Magazine physical copy will be published every month and distributed to all departments. A digital version will also be shared through the college website or student portals.
* Feedback & Improvement: We will collect feedback from readers to continuously improve the quality and relevance of the magazine’s content.
=== '''How will students get benefited?''' ===
* Students will stay updated with the latest technological trends and innovations happening across different engineering fields.
* It encourages students to explore beyond textbooks and gain real-world technical knowledge.
* This creates an opportunity for students to choose their further career interests as they get exposed to all the different kinds of technological news.
* Promotes collaboration and knowledge sharing among students from various departments.
* Helps students stay informed about new technologies, which can inspire ideas for projects, internships, and future careers.
* Builds awareness of
* advancements that can enhance their technical expertise and innovation mindset.
== Priority 3 : Centralised Online Resource Environment(CORE) ==
In today’s digital learning environment, students often struggle to find reliable and organized learning materials relevant to their subjects and interests. Valuable resources such as PDFs, research papers, tutorial videos, and online courses are scattered across different platforms, making it difficult for students to access them efficiently. The ''CORE'' aims to solve this problem by creating a centralized digital repository within the college where students can easily find curated academic and skill-development resources. This initiative helps students learn beyond textbooks, promotes self-learning, and ensures equal access to quality educational content for all departments.
=== '''How are we going to do this?''' ===
* We will develop a '''dedicated website''' that acts as a central hub for all academic and co-curricular learning materials.
* Resources will be organized by branch, subject, topic, and skill domain for easy navigation, with each department having a section where faculty coordinators and student volunteers regularly upload materials such as PDF notes, e-books, recorded lectures, research papers, and course links.
* We will collaborate with senior students and faculty to curate verified and high-quality content relevant to each subject and semester.
* To ensure continuous updates, a student-led “Resource Team” will maintain the hub, adding new materials and removing outdated ones.
* Additionally, the website will feature recommended '''free and paid online courses (Coursera, NPTEL, edX, Udemy, etc.)''' to guide students in enhancing their skills.
* Feedback forms will be embedded for students to suggest new resources or report missing topics, ensuring the platform evolves dynamically.
=== '''How will students get benefited?''' ===
* Access to all academic and technical learning materials from one central platform.
* Save time searching for resources and focus more on effective learning.
* Encourages '''self-learning and continuous skill improvement''' beyond the classroom.
* Helps students from rural or resource-limited backgrounds access equal learning opportunities.
* Acts as a guide for '''exam preparation, project work, internships, and research'''.
* Facilitates collaborative learning as students can share and recommend resources through the hub.
* Supports faculty by reducing redundancy in sharing materials and improving student engagement.
* Builds a sustainable, student-driven knowledge ecosystem within the college.
== Priority 4 : Incubation Centre ==
Students hold immense potential to build start-ups and solve real-world problems through innovation. However, many ideas never progress beyond the brainstorming stage due to a lack of proper guidance and resources. To address this gap, we propose an Incubation Centre - a dedicated space within the college that helps students transform their innovative ideas into viable start-ups.
The main goal of the Incubation Centre is to promote creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship among students by providing mentorship, resources, and a collaborative environment. It acts as a bridge between academics and the start-ups ecosystem, inspiring students to think beyond traditional career paths.
=== '''How are we going to do this?''' ===
* Establish a dedicated workspace in the college for idea development and prototype building.
* Conduct start-up workshops and innovation challenges to identify potential student innovators.
* Provide technical and business mentorship from faculty, alumni, and industry professionals.
* Collaborate with organizations like SIH, MSME, and other hackathon programs.
* Create an Innovation Wall to showcase student projects and start-up journeys.
=== '''How will students get benefited?''' ===
* Gain hands-on experience in entrepreneurship and innovation.
* Learn essential start-ups and business skills through mentorship and workshops.
* Access to funding opportunities, prototype support, and industry connections.
* Build confidence, leadership, and teamwork through real-world problem-solving.
* Inspire other students as successful start-ups emerge from the centre
= Priority 5 :Social Sphere =
In today’s fast-paced and digitally driven world, many students struggle to build meaningful connections and express themselves confidently. Post-pandemic, this gap has widened — with increasing social anxiety, reduced empathy, and a lack of real interaction beyond screens. We believe that developing social confidence is as vital as academic or technical excellence.
=== '''How are we going to do this?''' ===
* We plan to implement “Social Sphere,” a campus-wide initiative designed to promote healthy social interaction and communication confidence among students.
* Through experiential and engaging activities, we aim to help students step out of their comfort zones and connect beyond academics.
* We plan to start with a “Social Sphere Day”, a flagship event that includes:
** Icebreakers and Team Builders like Speed Friending and Pass the Compliment
** Empathy-based Sessions such as Human Library and Open Mic for Expression
** Creative Corners with Story Circles and Art Walls for reflection and collaboration
* To ensure continuity, we’ll establish Buddy Circles for monthly meetups and a Wall of Connection to capture memorable moments and reflections. We also aim to create a Social Skill Tracker that rewards active participation and encourages ongoing engagement.
=== '''How will students get benefited?''' ===
* Students will develop stronger communication and collaboration skills while gaining confidence in group settings.
* It will help reduce social anxiety, encourage inclusivity, and foster cross-disciplinary friendships.
* Over time, this initiative will build a positive, emotionally balanced campus culture — one where every student feels seen, supported, and socially empowered
