==Bio==
My name is Madelyn Murphy and I am a senior Biology major with minors in Chemistry and Music. My main focus at school is on my independent research, where I study potential causes/underlying mechanisms of SIDS using a mouse model. In addition to my studies and research, I also work part time as an on-campus tutor.
In my spare time, I play the clarinet in my school's wind ensemble and clarinet ensembles. I am also a member of Sigma Alpha Iota, which is a professional development organization dedicated to supporting women in music. I am also a member of various honor societies on campus, including TriBeta, which is my school's biological honor society, and Phi Kappa Phi as well as Phi Beta Kappa, which are general academic honor societies.
After graduation, I hope to earn a PhD in cell biology or neuroscience and become a professor.
