In addition, working on a vertical surface and standing up generates more energy for the brainstorm (if you are working remotely, this translates to having a digital whiteboarding surface like Mural, where everyone can write down ideas and see the ideas others contribute). Finally, a great way to promote the flow of ideas is to introduce different constraints, doing rounds of a few minutes generating ideas considering each condition.
