===Why is this project important to you, your department, & your Fellows?===
To imbibe 21st century skills among the students to empower them to create a better future. To enable them to take up a mindful global citizenship, To prepare them to evolve feasible solutions. This project is dedicated to empower every freshman and sophomore.
===Description===
The magic of Design Thinking for the past 5 years in both personal and professional life transformed me a lot. The journey from home, experiences challenging scenarios. DT experience played a major role in creating solutions which are my memorable experiences. This experiential learning to transform the students started in 2016 with UI fellows in this campus promoting the same in the workshops. A lot of effort was put in to nurture the 4Cs - Creativity, Critical thinking, Collaboration Communication, which has reached only a small number. “How might it reach 7000 students?” Recently the Govt of India through the National Education Policy 2020 focussed on 6th Gen learning methodologies, promoting 4Cs. So by taking up this initiative, innovative mindset and entrepreneurship, embracing 21st century skills will be established. We strongly believe, the formation of DT-Hub at institutional level, will create an inspiring and congenial learning environment which cultivates empathy and compassion among the students to be mindful in utilizing the resources. It paves a way for the new generation to adapt to the ever changing global requisites for sustainable progress.
