==Bio==
Hi! I am As a second-year student at Xavier University of Louisiana, Lillian Nero is a sophomore History and Education double major (formally recognized as Social Studies Education major from Omaha, NE. My ) who has passions lie lying in advocating for equitable education and , as well as raising awareness to the importance of archiving historical archival work. During teacher practicum experiences, she has not only fostered relationships with students grades 8-12, but has also created a framework to help middle school students decide which high school to attend. During June of 2023, Lillian journeyed back to her hometown of Omaha, NE equipped with skills she learned at Xavier to help facilitate STEM lessons at the Eureka! summer camp hosted in partnership with Girls Inc. of Omaha and the University of Nebraska at Omaha. While on staff at Eureka!, Lillian had the opportunity to be exposed to new teaching styles, various types of educational programming, as well as become more familiar with bridging the gaps between STEM education and underrepresented students. Lillian also holds a position as a student worker in the University Archives at Xavier where she reviews, assess and inputs historical artifactsinto the official archival system. Artifacts range from school yearbooks, to gifts from Catholic Bishops, to books published in the 19th century. I look forward Post graduation, Lillian intends to my time further her education in this program both history and secondary education, and getting the chance to meet champion for educational reform and eventually work with my peers!the U.S. Department of Education.
