== Bio ==
Maria Andrea is a 4th year Bioengineering student at UTEC. She considers herself a perseverant and optimistic person who will follow through with her objectives despite the obstacles in order to reach her long-term goals. After discovering the importance of being aware of one's emotions and doing things with a purpose one is passionate about, she has been committed to making sure everybody around her knows the importance of this as well.

* Co-founder of MikuyTec, agro-tech early-stage startup
* Summer Research Internship scholarship holder awarded by the EPFL School of Life Sciences
* Winning team of iGEM Design League 2021 international synthetic biology competition
