Possibly due to , potentially stemming from the fact that our campus and its students do not have access to absence of a specific entrepreneruship deparment dedicated entrepreneurship department or designated leaderon our campus. There is This void has led to a lack of awareness surrounding entrepreneruship regarding entrepreneurship and innovation on campus. Ultimatelyamong our student body, this deprives students from pursuing ultimately hindering their ability to pursue innovative business ideas as well as learning the steps and develop them to fully develop their ideasfull potential.
While the surrounding areas have experienced significant economic growth over the past five years, our students face challenges in accessing and engaging with these opportunities. Menlo College, as an institution, is now striving to catch up with the progress seen in neighboring organizations. There is considerable room for improvement in connecting our students to valuable local resources, such as conferences, lectures, company tours, and more.
The prevailing focus on securing employment and internships on campus is beginning to overshadow the university's original entrepreneurial spirit. The economic development in the surrounding areas of campus have shown a strong trend of growth in the past 5 years but there's low accesibility for students to take advantage and get involved. Menlo College itself as an institution is now playing catch up in comparison to surrounding organizations. Menlo College can be doing a lot more in the aspect of connecting students to more resources in the area, whether that be for conferences, lectures, company tours, etc. The focus on secured employment and internships on campus is beginning to overshadow the school's original entrepreneurial potential.
