As mentioned during orientation, the roadmap is our version of a syllabus. You can find the training roadmaps [[2021:Training/Roadmap|here]], as well as in the left-hand column under "Additional Resources." All sessions outlined in the roadmap will be released at the same time, on August 30.

|title=Stakeholder meeting
|content=
The stakeholder meeting is something you are expected to organize and hold around the final week of training (mid-October). Because you will be inviting several school VIPs to this meeting, you want to plan ahead and get on their calendar. Next week, we want you to tell us your early plans for a date and time to hold this event. You can find more details about planning for the stakeholder meeting in the left-hand column under "Additional Resources" (or by clicking [[2021:Training/Stakeholder Meeting|here]]).

|title=Landscape canvas
|content=
Plan ahead. Some say the UIF training is like taking another full credit course and many of your weekly assignments will require intense effort. One assignment in particular, the landscape canvas, is best served by getting your early attention as it requires you to uncover and document all the classes, extracurriculars, and resources that define your innovation and entrepreneurship (I&E) ecosystem. Do not delay. Jump ahead to [https://universityinnovation.org/wiki/2021:Training/Session_3_(Landscape_Canvas) Session 3] and plan a strategy for how your team is going to research and share with one another what you found before you present your results to your uiguide in the third week.

|title=Faculty champion meeting
|content=
Your faculty champion is one of the most important assets to your UIF efforts. They are your institutional link and should become your "partner in crime" as you work to make a difference at your institution. We highly recommend you meet with them weekly -- even if it is by video conference -- to get their input into your work. For your first meeting, use the following activity to get to know one another:

'''Time:''' ~45 minutes

'''Resources:''' A copy of the questions below

'''Participants:''' Candidates and faculty champion(s)

'''Activity:'''
::1. Elect one person as a "timekeeper" of sorts
::2. The timekeeper will read aloud the first question after which each person will take turns answering the question. Don't over-think the question and no need to go into great detail. Use this as an opportunity to get to know one another better.
:::'''Questions:'''
::::a. My favorite flavor of ice cream is...
::::b. The last book I read (that wasn't required for school) was...
::::c. My nickname and the story behind it is...
::::d. The accomplishment I am most proud of so far is...
::::e. The biggest thing that drives me in the work that I do today is...
::::f. If I had to do the last three years over again, I would have...
::::g. What I want to be doing three years from now is...
::::h. What I want you to know about me is...
::3. Debrief how that conversation went. How is this different from typical interactions between students and faculty?
::4. Make sure to establish a weekly time and place to connect before adjourning the meeting.
