Changes

Selenay Sonay Tufan, I was born in Istanbul/Şişli in 2000. I She completed my her primary, secondary and high school education in Şişli and still live lives there. I She completed my her high school education at Nişantaşı Anatolian High School [http://nisantasial.meb.k12.tr/] (English High School for Boys) and then, as a mechanical engineer, I she studied English at Yıldız Technical University for a year. After completing my her one-year English education, I she changed my her school and department with a serious decision. With this decision, I she moved to Istanbul Technical University(ITU) [http://www.itu.edu.tr/] civil engineering department. And I she studied civil engineering for 1 year. At the end of this year, I she moved to the mechanical engineering department with the " opportunity to change departments for students who have high GPA " offered by my her school. And I am she is studying mechanical engineering at Istanbul Technical University since October 2020.

I would like to talk a little bit about what I did while studying in these schools. During my her high school years, I she worked many times in organizations that required teamwork. Also, I she was in an award program that aims to prepare young people for today's world. The name of this award program is The Duke Of Edinburgh's International Award [https://www.intaward.org.tr/] and it is an international program that every young person between the ages of 14-24 can attend. The program is categorized as Bronze-Silver-Gold. During my her high school years I she finished the first level of this program(Bronze), and in the third year of my her university life I she finished the second level(Silver). I am She is currently trying to complete the last level of this program(Gold).

However, I she took an active role in many student clubs during the year I she was a student at Yıldız Technical University. These student clubs were generally about entrepreneurship and the industry. In addition, as my her special interest, I she was a support team member(Thanks to this team, I she received a lot of training about racing cars.) in the race car team at my her school for the international Formula Student [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Formula_Student] race during the year I she was there. When I she came to Istanbul Technical University, I she had discovered my her interests more and almost all the activities I she participated in were about entrepreneurship and finding a solution to a problem.

My Her acquaintance with the University Innovation Fellows program is the result of these activities I she participated in. I She was in a program called FireUp Fire Up at our their university and some of our their teammates would be nominated for the UIF program according to our their success in this program. We They all worked hard and came up with some solutions to the problems at our university. After that, we they were elected with some votes. If one of my team is reading this post, I love you very much and you can be sure that I try to do my best here :).

I want to finish my biography by mentioning a few of my hobbies. I've She has been playing the piano since my her high school years. This was my her childhood dream and I she was able to deal with this dream only in high school years. I have She has been doing archery and practicing yoga since the first year of my her university life.

I love She loves meeting new people and creating new ideas. I believe She believes that with my her teammates in this program, we they will produce innovative ideas and create a positive impact by solving a important problem.  Stay with love and health. Good luck in life.
