The creativity in assignments gives impetus to thinking at the very basic level. This would be the initial step towards innovative thinking and improving the innovative culture in the campus. The encouragement would be given to formulate assignments for the students in such a way that :
*the students have to think out of the box.
*the students will be given tasks to work as a team and individually too.
*the students will be encouraged to think new so that they get extra marks.
*the time constraint is relaxed as much as possible.
*the focus is on the quality of assignments rather than the quantity.
*even the teacher has to involve with the students in the due course of the assignment so that the dynamics between the students and the faculty is strengthened.

This requires fulfilling requirements of the problem given by us/chosen by them in a very innovative way using as much less resources as possible. The problem statements will be to solve the problems of the campus and the ideas that the students provide will be implemented in the college. The process for this program involves two strategies for the selection of problem:<br>I)<br>* Students from '''various departments''' are grouped into a team.* Each team visits various places in the college and identifies various '''problems prevailing in and around that area'''. II)<br>* In the second strategy, we announce the details of '''half-completed projects''' by seniors/alumni through ''''VOICE OF VNR'''' to bring in awareness in the students regarding the strategy. * similar to the above grouping technique, students from various departments are grouped and are given a choice to select a project from the lot displayed in a specific room called "JSR".* After they choose a project/problem they are asked to complete the project using techniques like "'''JUGAAD'''". In both the above processes,* Since people from different departments have different approach towards finding a solution for a problem , there are chances of finding multiple flavors of solutions. * Students then discuss on various constraints such as resources and come up with the best solution.* '''Recognition is given to every idea equally''' so as to build confidence and give motivation to continue their innovative thinking.
