Madanapalle Institute of Technology & Science is established in 1998 in the picture square and pleasant environment of Madanapalle and is ideally located on a sprawling 30 acre campus on Madanapalle Ananthapur Highway(NH-205) near Angallu ,about 10 km away from Madanapalle .It is governed by a progressive management that never rests on laurels and has been striving conscientiously to develop it as one of the best centers of Academic Excellence in India. The Institution’s profile is firmly based on strategies and action plans that match changing demands of the nation and the students fraternity .To foster a culture of excellence in research, innovation, entrepreneurship, rational thinking and civility by providing necessary resources for generation, dissemination and utilization of knowledge and in the process, create an ambience for practice-based learning to the youth for success in their careers.

As part of this, a distinct office for '''INNOVATIVE ACTIVITIES''' has been established on 2nd November-2015 in the MITS campus, which  creates a platform for students to express their ideas. Here the ideas will be groomed with the help of the faculty. In 2015, incubation center has also been established to provide some space to flourish the ideas. The innovative ideas of the students helps them to become successful entrepreneurs. Keeping this in vision Entrepreneurship Development Cell was established in the year 2010 which creates and foster entrepreneurial culture among students by identifying, training and motivating students to become entrepreneurs. ED cell and Innovation cell conducts various workshops and awareness programs. One among those activities is '''DIYA(Dynamics Ideas by Young Aspirants)''' which encourages the start-up ideas of students and also the excelled ideas are funded by reputed funding agencies. Apart from these, eminent personnel from industry(entrepreneurs), financial institutions(Banks), and academics will be invited to interact and to empower the knowledge in the concern fields that enrich the students how to start an entrepreneur at their own cost and procedures to be followed further. The Safer India Challenge is a 9 months long championship held annually, with the aim to reduce the death rate caused due to road accidents to half by 2020. It is an initiative of Indian Road Safety Campaign and Ministry of Road Transport and Highways held for colleges all across India.Weare proud to say that our college has been contributing to this program since last year i.e.July,2017. Every year, from our college, freshman students and senior students join to form a team and work on how to make the roads of India safer and to reduce the death rate caused by accidents. Some of thegroupsideasare being converted to prototypes to test the product and implement them.

Aero Design Studentscan envision themselves in class using drones to learn high-tech jobs and handling real-life challenges with drone technology. Drones can be used to help enhance orientation skills, motor skills, and even give students a better understanding of how the world around us works. Contrary to the belief that such technology can be distracting for students, in fact, enrich their imagination and get them more involved in the learning process. Drones will awake the students’natural curiosity and take it to the next level.
