I am originally Shafeqah Mordecai, from a Goldsboro, NC where . I attended North Carolina Central University and graduated from Goldsboro High School with a BS in Criminal Justice and a minor in 1997Family and Consumer Science. There I earned met and married my husband, and we have three children. Throughout the six years after receiving my Bachelor of Science bachelor's degree, I gained experience working in Criminal Justice in 2001 facilities for children, and with children from North Carolina Central pre-school to high school. Today, I am the registrar at Arundel High School, and a grad student at Bowie State Universityin the School Counseling program. I have a passion for working with and advocating for African American girls.In my free time I enjoy reading and watching movies, mainly comedies on Netflix
