== Strategy 1 - Student Increasing I&E Engagement through Awareness and Accessibility ==
<span style="color:#000000;"><span style="font-size:small;">Our first strategic priority focuses on improving student engagement using exisiting I&E facilities around the UTS campus, with consideration for the COVID-19 pandemic and the financial pressures this has placed on the university, and the growing importance of a virtual space for students to engage within.</span></span>
<span style="color:#000000;"><span style="font-size:small;">Resulting from the Landscape Canvas, we learnt that there was an incredible amount of I&E resources available throughout UTS, however these were either not well known by students, or lacked an online presence and therefore were currently struggling with the pandemic forcing students online. Following on from this in our student interviews, we learnt that there was a threat of exclusivity amongst some I&E programs, including UTS Startups and the iHub. Many students were unaware of how to access the spaces and programs, and felt they were designed for specific students.</span></span>
<span style="color:#000000;"><span style="font-size:small;">With an incredible space such as We also learnt the iHub not reaching its full potential, this importance of introducing I&E from day one. This strategy focuses on increasing engagement in involving students with I&E spaces from orientation so that they may carry these skills and programs around UTS by making resources with them more accessible through higher awareness. The core iHub value I have focused on is "Inspiration - this is a place for ideas to be explored, encouraged and nurturedtheir entire degree."</span></span>
=== <span style="font-size:small">Milestone 1: Improving the virtual spaceIncorporating I&E from Day One - Orientation 2021</span><br/> ===
Our first milestone focuses on improving introducing the virtual space, this is a priority due to concepts behind I&E at both Orientation and within the pandemic. This milestone includes populating the existing iHub Facebook Group as well as developing a formal website classroom for the iHub spacefirst semester classes. This will allow students We aim to find out what is on in run workshops during orientation through the space, who iHub to contactteach design thinking, how to book and again during the space first week of semester when subjects generally don't have a tutorial. The main subjects we are focusing on are Engineering Communication and virtual showcases Communication for IT Professionals, as a large amount of projectsFEIT students take these classes.
=== <span style="font-size:small">Milestone 2: Improving the physical spaceRetaining Engagement with I&E - Semester 1 2021</span><br/> ===
Our second milestone focuses on how we can retain these students once we have introduced them to I&E. By improving the physical virtual space. We want to use for the large windows at the entrance of the room iHub, we hope to attract students into back to the space by making it more inviting. We also want to introduce physical through showcases for projects from , what's on information and a range of students, such booking system. As well as FEIT, FEIT/BCIIthis, we hope to introduce our workshops to clubs and societies in order to bring them into the iHub, UTS Startups and Techceleratorspace.
=== <span style="font-size:small">Milestone 3: Rapid Prototyping CartLead In Programs - Semester 2 2021</span><br/> ===
We also want to introduce Rapid Prototyping Carts at Our third milestone introduces a lead in program for our successful, exisiting I&E programs such as UTSStartups and Techcelerator. This program targets students who have a light bulb moment and want to explore the idea was presented more, before progressing to us during training by UIF Tanner Wheadonthe programs aforementioned. The carts are also used at Stanford University program would help them learn and Google Warehouse. The carts are mobile explore I&E skills, provide networking opportunities with peers and are filled with cardboardfaculty, paperclips, tape, popsicle sticks and so much more that can be used give them access to resources to rapidly prototype turn ideas into something tangible and make an idea tangible. We believe these would be provide a great investment as they can be used in multiple scenarios around university, from the iHub space, platform to the classroom, societies and hackathonsreceive feedback.
=== <span style="font-size:small">Milestone 4: Collaboration with UTS I&E programsMaking the transition more accessible - 2022</span><br/> ===
The next milestone is Our student feedback demonstrated to bridge the gap between FEIT and I&E us that there are high barriers surrounding programs such as UTS Startups and Techcelerator. We aim Our fourth milestone aims to present opportunities to students where they can nurture their ideas bring down these barriers and increase accessibility into a feasible reality. From student feedback we learnt that currently these incredible I&E programs are viewed as entirely seperate to FEIT, and are seen as exclusivethat already exist. By introducing a Reverse Pitch Nightreverse pitch night, where I&E we hope to prove to students these programs pitch are worthwhile. The typical means to students why they should join themthese programs currently is to prove the worth of your idea and then be accepted. By reversing this, we aim to remove hope the threat leaders of exclusivity these programs will demonstrate the value and engage more studentsentice them to explore further.
