5 years ago This is quite interesting, I would personally love to take part in an initiative like this on campus! This past fall semester, I felt the exact pain point outlined here of the restricted times of maker spaces. I would often find myself running to the maker space on campus after class to try to squeeze in before the closing times. A startup house would be a great solution for this with the added benefit of the company of like-minded people. I'm curious as to how to foster community collaboration as the "scarcity-mindest" of not wanting others to steal your idea seems to be common between students (I personally felt this way at first).
