==Bio ==
Marissa Morales is a first-generation college student at the University of Nebraska-Omaha where she is double majoring in ''Political Science'' and ''Sociology'' as well as minoring in ''Latin American/Latino/Chicano Studies'' and ''Nonprofit Management''. Her college experience has drawn her to the world of nonprofits where she is able to work directly with the community and effectively advocate for public change. Some of the most notable issues that she advocates for include: immigration, healthcare, education and human rights.
At the University of Nebraska-Omaha, Marissa has held leadership positions in Lambda Theta Nu Sorority, Inc., as the Multicultural Greek Council Representative and Social Chair. She has also had the privilege of co-founding the Association of Latino Professional For America (ALPFA) Chapter at UNO. And just recently Marissa was elected into Student Government where she serves as the Arts and Sciences Senator. As she gets closer to graduation, Marissa hopes that she continue to support first generation college students as well as low-income families and students who are unable to obtain the necessary resources to advance in society. Her long-term goal is to open her own nonprofit that would take on the issue of Recidivism, where prisoners can have access to rehabilitation centers and be able to further their education. In the future she may even be interested in running for a local government position. ==Achievements==
