Khushi worked as a research assistant for the Women's Institute for Science, Equity, and Race ([https://www.wiserpolicy.org/#Work WISER]). She researched and wrote publications about the healthcare of immigrant Hispanic women, The the impact of COVID-19 on refugee resettlement, and the recent 2020 Title IX changes.

From 2015-2019, Khushi’s was involved with in Health Occupation Students of America, in which she received multiple district and state-level awards in researched persuasive writing and speaking.
