<span style="font-size: 11.8181819915771px;">UCSD has the opportunity to make a huge difference with thinkers and innovators around campus. This can start with the school of engineering! Allowing seniors the option to take an elective that is a little out of the box, yet extremely relevant to life later down on the road would be very beneficial. The elective being a class where local entrepreneures come to the school to teach an accredited class about making a startup as well as the life that revolves around just that. It gives the option for many students to learn from experienced individuals, but also gives the flexibility in course work so that students do not have to change their academic classes too much to try and pursue such a career.</span>

Whether it's building a website or an entire piece of software, students should have at least a basic understanding of computer science before they start a business.</div><div style="font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.7272720336914px;"><br/></div><div style="font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.7272720336914px;">Aside from taking classes that teach this subject, the best way for students to learn how to code is by collaborating with each other on CS related group projects. Hackathons do an exceptional job at getting students motivated to learn how to code and provide a great platform for CS students to meet. If the school does not currently hold a hackathon, then students of a CS background should work together in helping start one at their school.</div><div style="font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.7272720336914px;"><br/></div><div style="font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.7272720336914px;">In addition, the entrepreneurship center should also provide funding for teaching students basic programming languages (html, css, javascript). If students wish to pursue learning more, then help should be provided in paying for the students course.
