<span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; line-height: 20px;">Meenu is a University Innovation Fellow (Spring 2014) and works full-time at&nbsp;</span><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small; line-height: 20px;">UMD's Academy of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Student Design Team where she works to&nbsp;</span><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small; line-height: 20px;">bring innovation and entrepreneurship into the classroom and making real-world, hands-on experiences the paradigm for learning</span><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small; line-height: 20px;">.</span><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; line-height: 20px;">&nbsp;A recent graduate (Spring 2014) with a Civil Engineering degree and Philosophy minor at the University of Maryland, College Park (UMD), Meenu s</span><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; line-height: 20px;">pearheaded the formation of the Academy in the Fall of 2013, Meenu as a group of 20+ students from all disciplines that employ design thinking to shape the I&E landscape at UMD. </span><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; line-height: 20.7999992370605px;">Prior to that, she</span><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; line-height: 20px;">&nbsp;served as Vice President of Academic Affairs for the Student Government Association, where she works to empower students to shape their academic experience.&nbsp;</span><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small; line-height: 20px;">In addition, she worked to design UMD's "Finals App" mobile application to students on campus and established an SGA partnership with UMD's Mobile App Developers Club.
