Fellow:Sanuja Goonetilleke
Born and raised in Colombo, Sri Lanka, Sanuja Goonetilleke is a rising senior at Converse College, where she majors in Flute Performance and minors in Social Entrepreneurship and English. As a University Innovation Fellow at Converse, her work focuses on introducing design thinking to performing, visual, and written arts students, promoting multi-disciplinary collaboration across diverse disciplines, and developing innovative thought and action within the student body. In addition to winning national flute competitions and performing in orchestras and chamber ensembles in the US , Sri Lanka, and Germany, Sanuja has worked in music education, nonprofit management, concert productions, economic research, digital journalism, public relations, publishing, interfaith, diversity initiatives, and campus leadership in hopes of narrowing down "one" career path. She continues to pursue diverse, yet inter-connected professional interests.
