Resource talk:How to build and outfit an on-campus innovation space

The article shows very nicely the values and benefits of having an innovation space on campus. It seems very important to me not only to have ideas and curiosity but also to be able to pursue them in a space that is perhaps designed to provide incentives for deep thinking as such. This would be the "gap" that the innovation space would fill. In the absence of an interdisciplinary space on our campus or even an innovation space, this seems to be an issue that my cohort and I could explore and try to improve in the coming year. When looking for the topic we will deal with, I/we will include the article in the decision-making process. Thank you for sharing your experiences!

I agree that advertising the availability of the innovation space is key. An innovation space without groups of people using the space productively is nothing but your basic empty classroom. The launch aspect is important because it helps to spread the word amongst students and faculty to use the space.
