Discussion Post:

Innovation and Entrepreneurship are a large part of our school identity at Oregon Institute of Technology. Our faculty are constantly encouraging innovation and providing opportunities for us to explore entrepreneurship. As the article stated I&E have become buzz word campuses use to gain recognition and seem progressive. For us they are not just buzz words. Our colleges of engineering, technology, computer science and business often collaborate on projects to help the local community. Our 2022 UIF Faculty Advisor, Hallie Neupert works to involve local stakeholder in I&E with our students through initiatives such as Catalyze Klamath, a competition where students pitch their ideas to boost the local economy. With that being said the 2022 OIT UIF cohort is excited to learn even more about I&E and continue to work with the local businesses in our community!
