Prerequisites

Group Requirements:

When forming a stakeholders group, we need to keep in mind that this group will not be consisting of people with common perspective of things. Although the aim or objective of the group is same, the perspective of one person might be in total disagrement with another. So we need to act as a active mediator in order to calm things down. We must think on common grounds and should be able to provide a suitable solution that will satisfy all the people in the group.

Main tool:

In order to  have good stakeholder relationship, patience plays a key role. It  holds a good Rapport among  stakeholders in a group. It's likely that you will have a large number of stakeholders in scope so it's important to develop a well structured plan for engaging and communiacating with them. You will also need to use different strategies and approaches for different people as this is definitely not a case of 'one size fits all'.

Stakeholder's Requirement

A stakeholder must be broad-minded and should be able to think from everyone's perspective. He should be able to confidently put forward the facts and issues that will effect the lives of people. He should be accepting change and have a strong entrepreneurial mindset. He must be someone that really feels the need to change the things for better. He or she must be able to understand the role of other people in the meeting. Finally, they must be sharing the risks and benefits together

Maintaining Contributive Collaborations

Since it is highly unlikely to meet the objective through a unilateral decision, we must maintain collaborations between stakeholder's. And this is only possible through regular interaction. Everyone should be given an equal chance to present their ideas and call in for discussion.

Tips to engage stakeholders

Aim to build relationships early on with the key decision makers and involve them in shaping the training strategy and approach. Share your vision of what success will look like and give a 'big picture' view of where you are heading. Regularly meet with key stakeholders who are resistant to the change and the training. Involve and consult with them so that their concerns can be voiced and at the same time take the opportunity to re-emphasise the benifits of the change.

Benefits

The main purpose this stake holder meeting is to make our idea implemented. It is a mere business proposal put forward so that it is accepted. So by this meeting the following are possible:

Decisions taken can be finalized without any objection and ideas can be put to force easily without any obligation or agitation.

Perspective of various people can be brought into consideration by which the proposed idea can be either redeced or extended so that the out come of the idea proposed will be fully utilized.

Change can be brought easily in no time as the decision taken is unanimous.

This develops a strong bonding between students as well as faculty and provides an encouragement to students so that more ideas can be brought up.The main purpose this stake holder meeting is to make our idea implemented.
