Priority 1: Establishing the UNGenius Club
Time Frame: SY 2024-2025
Purpose:
The UNGenius Club will create a platform for students and faculty at the University of North Georgia to engage with AI technologies, discussing their applications, ethical implications, and future trends. This initiative will focus on building AI awareness and literacy across different disciplines while advocating for the responsible use of AI in academic and professional settings.

- Create and launch a social media presence to engage students and promote events

- Host monthly AI discussions or speaker events, inviting professionals from the tech industry to share their insights
- Foster collaboration by partnering with different departments to demonstrate AI’s relevance in different fields
Priority 2: AI Tabling Events
Time Frame: 1-2 months (Fall 2024)
Purpose:
The AI Tabling Events are designed to quickly raise awareness of artificial intelligence among students and faculty at UNG within a short time frame. These events will provide a casual, interactive space for the UNG community to ask questions, learn about AI, and explore how AI can benefit their studies, work, and everyday life. By reaching a broad audience, this initiative will build interest in AI-related topics and lay the foundation for deeper engagement through the UNGenius Club and other campus AI activities.
Strategies:
- Month 1
- Partner with Student Involvement to secure high-traffic locations on campus for tabling events
- Create and distribute a Google form or similar platform for students and faculty to submit questions or topics they are curious about regarding AI
- Design interactive and informative materials (flyers, posters, infographics) about AI basics and practical applications in everyday life and studies
- Offer small giveaways to attract students, such as AI-related merchandise or club-branded items
- Month 2
- Host live Q&A sessions at the tables, where students and faculty can directly ask questions about AI
- Gather feedback and insights from participants to inform future AI events and club activities
- Promote upcoming UNGenius Club events and encourage students to sign up or get involved in AI-related learning opportunities on campus
- Transition interested participants in long-term engagement with UNGenius or MountainMentor
Priority 3: Mountain Mentor Program
Time Frame: SY 2024-2025
Purpose:
The Mountain Mentor Program is designed to support students interested in innovation and entrepreneurship by providing mentorship and guidance from experienced professionals within the Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation. The program will connect students with industry experts, business leaders, and entrepreneurs who can offer valuable insights and advice on how to launch successful ventures.

- Mentor Recruitment & Program Setup
- Partner with the Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation to recruit mentors from local businesses, successful startups, and academic leaders
- Develop a framework for matching mentors with mentees based on their specific needs and interests in innovation and entrepreneurship
- Promote the program through campus-wide communications and events
- Mentorship & Skill-Building
- Launch a mentorship program where students regularly meet with their assigned mentors to discuss business ideas, personal growth, and strategies for entrepreneurship
- Host monthly workshops on topics like innovation, business planning, fundraising, and scaling ventures
- Offer networking events for students to meet other mentors and peers, expanding their professional networks
Priority 4: InnoLink UNG
Time Frame: SY 2024-2025
Purpose:
InnoLink UNG is designed to foster a vibrant community of innovation-driven alumni and current students. By connecting students with alumni who have successfully navigated the world of entrepreneurship and business, the network will serve as a platform for mentorship, collaboration, and professional development.
Strategies:
- Create an Innovation-Driven Alumni Network
- Establish a structured network focused on innovation and entrepreneurship, attracting alumni with relevant experience and expertise
- Enhance Communication Between Alumni and Students
- Launch an online platform where students can easily connect with alumni for advice, mentorship, and networking opportunities
- Facilitate regular communication through newsletters, social media groups, and virtual meetups to keep alumni engaged and informed about student needs and events
- Partner with the Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation and Student Clubs
- Collaborate with the Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation to leverage resources and expertise in fostering innovation among students and alumni
- Work alongside student clubs to promote InnoLink events and initiatives
- Organize joint events with student organizations to strengthen the relationship between alumni and students, enhancing the overall sense of community at UNG
