Overview

The Thought for Food (TFF) Foundation is the world’s leading platform for next generation innovation and collaboration. It consists of a united and unique group of bold, unconventional thinkers and doers from all disciplines and all parts of the globe to transform food and agriculture. The organization’s goal and the biggest challenge they want to solve for the future is feeding nine billion people by the year of 2050. The group comprises of 8,000 of the best and brightest minds of the next generation, driven by a desire to invigorate innovation and uproot the status quo. They are entrepreneurs, activists, and change-makers dedicated to feeding our growing planet.

Getting Involved

Join the 2018 TFF Challenge to form teams and develop breakthrough solutions that address the global challenge of feeding 9+ billion people by the year 2050.

The TFF Challenge is a movement in which youth (35 and younger) from all walks of life learn more about the complex challenges surrounding food security. TFF inspires them to channel their passions and creativity towards developing new ideas that make a difference.

By participating in the TFF Challenge, you are joining a movement of young innovators from 130 different countries who are reshaping our global food system. We believe that openness, collaboration, and an entrepreneurial mindset are key to feeding our growing world.

Enter into the TFF Challenge and you will take part in proven training programs and will work with world-class mentors who will help turn your idea into a reality.

TFF Challenge participants have the chance to receive up to $25,000 in cash prizes, and you may be selected to participate in the TFF Startup Bootcamp, an intense, 12-week startup training program which culminates at the TFF Global Summit.

Most importantly, Thought For Food is a one-of-a-kind community of friends, a network that spans 130 countries and counts on each other to their efforts to make the world a better place.

Final Thoughts

Program Director, Jared gave some specific insights to how the program works. There are two phases to the program, number one being training and number two being the summit. This is where the best ideas are presented, funded and a placed into an early accelerator. Although this is a global organization, Jared stated that in order to be involved in the program you must be in one of the locations. The teams get donations to fund their ideas and after the challenge is over team member who then become alumnis have the opportunity to still be involved, participate, and network. There is an ambassador program in which alumni can volunteer for, in this they network and tell their stories. The organization makes a huge effort to keep itself very authentic, they do this ambassador program in order to build and maintain long lasting relationships with their team members. The company has launched over 37 start-up ventures and is continuing to grow at a consistent rate. All in all, they are an amazing group that really support young people innovating in food agricultural systems.
