Fellow:Julia Almeida
Júlia is a University Innovation Fellow and an undergraduate student studying Civil Engineering and Business at William Jewell College near Kansas City, Missouri. Júlia is also a convicted originally from São Paulo, Brazil, moved to Rio de Janeiro, the back to São Paulo. In 2018, she moved to the United States to attend William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri. On her free time Júlia enjoys spending time with friends, reading, and exploring new places.
On-campus, Júlia is team captain of the Women's Tennis Team, VP of the International Students Association (INSA), writer for the Hilltop Monitor, online newspaper of William Jewell College, Student-Athlete Advisory Committee representative, and member of the Epsilon Epsilon chapter of Alpha Gamma Delta women's fraternity.
Inspired by her father's passion for Lean Six Sigma processes, Júlia likes to look for ways to improve projects, systems, and performances, so it can reach its total potential. With that, she plans to follow a career in civil engineering implementing the Lean Six Sigma methods to improve the area.
