Ykeshia Zamore is a well-rounded sophomore who attends The University of the Virgin Islands and joined the 3-2 Dual Degree Program for Engineers. She plans on transferring to Columbia University to complete her last two years in the 3-2 program and become a Mechanical Engineer. From there, she plans on completing a Master's in either Biomedical Engineering or Biomechanics. Her major interests are biology, mathematics, and music.‏ Ykeshia has beeen involved in several groups for the school year including: National Society of Black Engineers and University of the Virgin Islands Innovation Design and Entrepreneurship Association. She is passionate about her school work and enjoys coming up with new ideas. She believes that she will discover the next innovative invention in the biomedical field.
