I was born and raised in Aurora Colorado where my family still resides. I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration with a concentration in finance from Clark Atlanta University. While at Clark Atlanta, I was very active on campus. I was an orientation guide for 3 years, served as the business manager for the pre-alumni council, was one of the first CAU Ambassadors selected to represent Clark Atlanta, and voted most outstanding freshman by the office of student activities.
Clark Atlanta University set the foundation for my life. After graduation I quickly embraced our motto I’ll Find A Way or Make One, by securing a job in Corporate America working for a Super Regional Bank, culminating in the Collateral Analyst position. As the years passed, I have transitioned successfully within the Finance industry which has allowed me to gain a broader scope and depth of experience. To take my career to the next level, I decided to pursue a MBA degree. Being that I would have to transition from a full-time employee to a full-time student, I knew I had to attend a program that would provide the necessary tools to evolve my career as well as promote an atmosphere of security. With that being said, I decided to choose my alma mater, Clark Atlanta University. Here, at CAU, I know that excellence and leadership are top priorities. I made the decision to come back to Clark Atlanta University.
As a graduate student, I have been nominated for several positions. Currently, I am serving as the School of Business’ Corporate Ambassador and the Assistant Director of Alumni Relations for the Graduate Student Business Council, and a member of the Lead Week committee. I know that with my educational background and leadership skills, I am confident that these positions will be performed with determination and practical direction. I am glad I made the decision to pursue excellence.
