Formerly a D1 athlete, now a resident advisor, teaching assistant, and passionate engineering student--Sarah is a sophomore who understands the importance of being involved and a leader on campus. She is thoroughly engaged in her studies to become a civil and environmental engineer as she is fascinated with the ability to design efficient, innovative, and clean infrastructure for the future. She started her first business in 2013 and is currently working towards her first patent. She was an art student in high school winning multiple awards for various projects, but after starting her own underwater robotics team, she recognized the potential in using her creative background in the engineering field. It was probably her green mindset that lead her to the hobby of indoor gardening and hydroponics in her free time, along with hiking, painting (digital and canvas), and longboarding. She is a proud member of Generation Z: she's innovative, entrepreneurial, and highly conscious of the future and the challenges our generation will face. She plans utilizing her skills to be the kind of engineer the world needs.
