Pravallika Yallapragada, University Innovation Fellow, was born in Rajamahendravaram (formerly Rajahmundry), Andhra Pradesh, India. The city is located on the banks of river Godavari. Shdid her primary schooling at All Saints' High School, Hyderabad which is a 150 year old institution founded by the Montfort brothers.

She did her secondary schooling from Dr.K.K.R's Gowtham Educational Institutions run by an eminent academician.She studied her plus-2 with mathematics, physics and chemistry as main subjects at Sri Chaitanya Educational Institutions, Hyderabad, Telangana.

She secured admission into a four year bachelor's course in technology (B.Tech) in the computer science engineering branch at Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam, Tirupathi which is a state level university established in the year 1983 exclusively for women students. She is currently pursuing her third year course.

She is a peripatetic (a person who loves to travel and explore places alone) and is very interested in exploring different cultures of the world.She also wishes to bring change in the way education is being persued right now.She follows the principle "Comparing yourself to others is an act of violence against your authentic self".
