Nicholas Russell is from Chattanooga, Tennessee where he attended Chattanooga Christian School. He is an undergraduate mechanical engineering major at Tennessee Technological University. Nicholas is currently (February 2016) the Tennessee Board of Regents Student Regent where he represents 200,000 students across 46 institutions at the state level. Nicholas is also Student Government Association Vice President and serves on many university committees and is a member of the honors program. Nicholas became associated with the Innovation and Entrepreneurship movement at Tennessee Tech through the Eagle Works pitch competition where his team came in second place in the social entrepreneurship competition. Nicholas has engineering work experience with Flowserve Corporation and Whirlpool Corporation and will be doing a supply chain development program this coming summer with PepsiCo. Nicholas hopes to use his UIF training to enhance the design thinking culture at TTU through piloting a "Design Think your Life" University Connections class.
