Bio
About Me
My name is Joshua Maddy, and I'm a Computer Science student at Marshall University in WV. I come from the capitol city sibling, South Charleston, WV, and have always had a strong interest in software and its transformative ability. I'm self-educated in 3D printing, 3D modelling, website design, and formally trained in Python 3+, Java 8+, C# 7+, SQL and HTML/CSS/ES6. I spend most of my time outside of classes following tangents and enriching my understanding of technology.
I have been working at Marshall since Sep. 2021 as a research assistant for the MURC and grading assistant for the college of Computer Science. As of 2022, I am currently participating in various extracurricular research opportunities.
My Goal
I strongly believe in technologies' ability to enhance education and assist communities in all aspects. I believe strongly in the democratization of education and the importance of technological literacy. I'm here to better my understanding of tackling complex problems so I can improve at using my interests for the greater good.
