Jason Zhang is a second-year Biomedical Engineering major with a minor in Mathematics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He has done research in the field of cell biology and biomedical engineering for a year and a half. Besides his own research, Jason is an undergraduate research ambassador, who help and mentor students throughout research experience. With a special interest in designing medical devices, Jason is involved with UAB Solution Studios, where undergraduate students are connected with clinicians to solve real medical problems. He has also been in the student government association as a senator from the school of engineering. Jason is passionate about translational science and aspires to leverage scientific knowledge and apply them to benefit patients in anyways.

Outside of school, Jason loves to play soccer and ping pong. He is a huge Real Madrid fan and watches soccer games religiously. He loves watching drama and some anime. He also loves to cook food for his friends and family.
