Bio

Who Am I?

That is the question of a lifetime. I am a lifelong learner. I want to learn the why of people. I like to learn how they think, what makes them tick, what brings them joy, what bothers them. I like knowing these things because it makes me feel closer to people. I firmly believe that the way we can move industries, people, and the world forward faster is by investing in a very valuable resource; people. I am intensely passionate about professional development, partially because I am still learning myself. But I want to help others learn faster, from my mistakes and what I have learned from others. Bringing people together, helping them connect, and conveying a message with one loud voice is what I want to do, I just have not fully figured out what that looks like. For now, it is my side-hustle and passion project.

How Did I Get Here?

As in many coming-of-age comedies, I had a several moments where I thought I hit the bottom, each time, I learned that the crawl upwards was not as daunting as I had thought when I looked back. I have been blessed with opportunities, and individuals who have supported and pushed me. Occasionally, I chose differently and let the loud voices of doubt creep in, and I listened. However, the people who pushed, the people who cared, they always came back, they always kept pushing. They are who I want to become for someone else. Its funny, how a few words that someone might forget they ever said to you can shape your reality. We have two options, and two only. If you do not like your life, change your attitude or your latitude. We can change how we think about something, or we can change where we are. But one thing is for certain, we are the ones who must enact that change. We must also do our best to help others find paths that help them enact their changes. Sharing our privilege and opportunity does not limit us, but rather enhances our life and experiences.
