Caleb Carr is a student studying Neuroscience at the University of Colorado Denver. His goal is to eventually go to Medical school to become an intensivist and a researcher. He is originally from Auckland, New Zealand but lived in Portland, Oregon for the majority of his life. In his time at the University of Colorado Denver, Caleb has involved himself in 3 research projects involving rescue helicopters, optogenetics, and Graft Vs. Host Disease. These research opportunities have driven him to become a UI fellow and pursue a MD/PhD program. He has also been actively a part of the student life on campus as an executive chair of student government and the universities mascot. In his free time he is found in the Cascades or Rockies doing Search and Rescue with local agencies or doing other mountaineering activities such as ice climbing or snow caving.
