Bio

Başak Bozkır was born and raised in Istanbul. She graduated from Haydarpaşa High School in 2016 and got into Istanbul Technical University Management Engineering Department. Ever since she is in love with her majority and academicians. She has been a member of the Management Engineering Society in Istanbul Technical University for two years and took part in the organization of several events.

She loves learning new abilities and challenging herself. Therefore, she tried to improve herself in many areas, like gymnastics, piano, volleyball, taekwondo, even the Latin language! (don't know why) She loves spending time with her friends, going out, tasting new foods, meeting new people, and traveling.

Besides the socialization events, she is also really interested in being a part of change around her and creating value. She thinks good things come up from great teamwork, so she always cares about diverse teams, and uplifting teammates. That is why she has applied to the Fire-up Changemakers Program (you can see the details on the Campus Overview page) and was nominated as a candidate for the UIF Program.

Together with her team, she aims to advance along her career path by establishing a company and becoming a unicorn. She lives by the saying "You receive what you give" and constantly encourages and supports others around her.

Last but not least, she is so excited about her new journey on UIF, and can't wait to meet the other Fellows on the Silicon Valley Meetup ;)
