Ashley A. Del Valle Morales is an University Innovation Fellow from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez. She is an undergraduate electrical engineering student specializing in power electronics, with a minor in business development.  She has distinguished herself in engineering department by receiving the PES Scholarship Plus Initiative given by the the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).


Her passion is merging art and technology in an interactive and creative manner. Her goal is to study at the MIT Media Labs; and gain the skills and experience to tinnovate storytelling at amusements parks  She founded the first student driven group in campus to explore wearable technology called WearTech. This project was founded after winning the 2017 Changing Campus Culture of Innovation and Entrepreneurial Thinking: Pathways to Innovation Grant Program, sponsored by the UPRM E-Ship Network. Her UIF project is called WondeRUM, it aims to establish a collaborative network in which students passionate about art and engineering can collaborate, learn from each other and generate creative project to impact all the campus.

WondeRUMis a breath-taking Art & Engineering exhibit, organized by WearTech, which will display innovative art pieces created with non-conventional materials such as 3D printing, wearable technology, neon paint, conductive materials among others for their pieces and innovate.

This exhibit will enable schools field trips and hands-on workshops for the K-12 community at the Art Museum of the University of Puerto Rico-MUSA.
