Alexis Gargin is University Innovation Fellow from the Spring 2015 cohort. She is a junior at Susquehanna University, a small liberal arts school in Pennsylvania. She is a Creative Writing major with minors in Publishing and Editing, History, and a member of the Honors Program. Alexis spent a semester abroad in Vienna, Austria this past fall. She is the founder and editor of a new travel writing magazine, Flagship. She created this magazine so that she and her fellow students could share their experiences abroad. The magazine will be online this spring. Alexis has copy-edited for the magazine RiverCraft, a Susquehanna publication featuring fiction, poetry, and non-fiction stories, and she is the designer for this year’s issue. Alexis is the treasurer for her school’s chapter of F.U.S.E. (Forum for Undergraduate Student Editors). As treasurer she has organized fundraisers and events as well as creating a budget. Alexis enjoys photography, baking, and swimming. She also enjoys working with children as she has for the past four summers.

She believes entrepreneurship and innovation can be achieved by everyone in any major and hopes to bring more awareness of I & E on her campus to her fellow students.
