Bio
Dr. Grant is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Xavier University of Louisiana. Prior to joining the Xavier faculty, Dr. Grant served the schools of New Orleans as the Assistant Director of Student Evaluation and Support Services with Orleans Parish School Board. Within this role, Dr. Grant was instrumental in supporting schools in the improvement of academic and behavioral intervention supports within a Multi Tiered Systems of Support framework. She also worked to increase equity through consultation focused on improving child find practices in schools. Dr. Grant received her doctorate from Louisiana State University in School Psychology in 2017. Dr. Grant currently serves as the Social Justice chairperson for the Louisiana School Psychological Association (LSPA). Dr. Grant frequently presents at conferences on topics such as disproportionate discipline, social justice, and anti-colonial learning practices.
