Bio
Achmad Basuki was born in Bondowoso, East Java, Indonesia. He received a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng) in Electrical Engineering from Universitas Brawijaya in 2000. He was first joined Universitas Brawijaya as a computer network engineer to build a campus network in 2001. Since 2003, he has been joining Universitas Brawijaya as a lecturer. In 2006, he continued to study and received his Master and Doctor of Philosophy in Cyber Informatics from Keio University, Japan, in 2008 and 2012.
He is an assistant professor at the Department of Informatics Engineering, Faculty of Computer Science, Universitas Brawijaya. He is currently serving as a Head of the Department of Informatics Engineering. He plays an active role in coordinating Indonesia Research and Education Network (IDREN) to support research and education activities in Indonesia since 2014. He has extensive experience in operating and managing enterprise networks, such as campus network and research education network for more than 12 years. His area of expertise includes the Internet of Things in rural/challenged networks, Software Defined Networking, IPv6, IP multicast, and also Content-Centric Networking. He is currently involved in several international research collaborations: SOI-Asia project (http://soi.asia) for distance education in the Asian region, COMPETEN-SEA Erasmus+ Project (http://competen-sea.eu), DCNDS AsiaConnect Project (https://dcnds.asia), two ASEAN-IVO Projects in Applied Internet of Things and Cybersecurity.
