Purpose

Globsyn Skills Development (P) Limited, a ‘not-only-for-profit’, Social Enterprise, in association with National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) has the aim of grooming 1 million youth in the next 10 years. This organisation was set up to facilitate the development and upgrading of the skills of the growing Indian workforce through skill training programmes to fill skill gaps in the Indian workforce providing them with better placement opportunities. Globsyn has created aspiration among youth for skill development and Initiated training with the assurance of standardization of the quality of training delivered helping them to become industry-ready individuals

In the past two years Globsyn Skills has trained over 60000 trainees in 450+ centres across 20 states. Over 310 faculty have been empaneled with Globsyn to train the students in multiple sectors. Globsyn Skills is working closely with the central government and various state governments to help implement their skill development initiatives.

Notes About How This Resource is Deployed

Globsyn Skills as part of the diversified Globsyn Group, chaired by Bikram Dasgupta, a
stalwart of the Information Technology industry, with over 14 years in skill development,
NSDC has a 22% shareholding of Globsyn Skills in the venture.
Its main programs and deployment are:
GOVERNMENT PROJECTS
PMKVY
PMKVY, with its thrust on skill development to build human capital for future markets is
sure to reap benefits for our economy. The new Policy and a Mission mode approach to
deliver results will usher in a new era in the development of human resources and industry.
The scheme will primarily focus on the first time entrants to the labour market and target
mainly drop outs from Class 10 and Class 12. The scheme will be implemented through
NSDC training partners.
STATE GOVT. PROJECTS
It is here that the Government’s policy measures and direct skill development initiatives
come to the fore. With deep commitment to the development of skilled resources in the
country, Globsyn Skills is working closely with a number of State Governments to help
implement their Skill development initiatives.
Various projects: NULM : Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, West Bengal
,SUDA : Sikkim, OSEMS : Odisha, NDLM: Chhattisgarh
FINISHING SCHOOL
Globsyn Finishing School is an extension of Globsyn’s training programs for engineers and
corporates. Globsyn understands the paradigm shift in the quality of professionals required by
the industry today, and the need for engineers to keep abreast with all new technology skills
and understand all facets of business. Globsyn Finishing School aspires to mould under-
graduate engineers into successful knowledge workers in the IT industry.
INDUSTRIAL TRAINING
With nearly two decades of training experience, Globsyn Skills brings to bear Globsyn’s deep
commitment to bridging the academic-industry divide and providing skill development and
enhancement trainings across a large section of domains.
Faculty Farm
In its effort to provide skills training globally to youth through faculty who are competent,
industry aligned and certified by SSC, Globsyn has initiated a Faculty Farm wherein
Globsyn’s faculty have already reached out to provide training in Bangladesh as a part of a
joint project with Ernst & Young (EY). For the first phase of the project, a group of six
trainers- three for .NET, two for Soft Skills and one for Java, have been assigned the task of
training Bangladeshi youth across several locations in that country. Globsyn has a plan to

export 100 SSC certified trainers in 2015-16 and the next project is slated to start in Dubai
and thereafter spread to other locations internationally.
EDUSKILLS:  links workplace with classrooms
There is a wide gap between the skills required in industry and those provided by the
education system. To bridge this gap Globsyn, with its background of continuous ‘Innovation
in Education’, has designed two courses:
 Post Graduate Program in Management Skills
 Post Graduate Programme in Management-Human Resource

Steps Required To Bring Resource to Campus

In partnership with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), so  It is difficult to bring the resource into our schools but it can be.

Have to affiliate with government.

Have to collaborate with higher officials.

Resources is the main theme to bring this like Area,  advanced technology, infrastructure etc.

They are ready to train students,  it’s a part of training. This is also one of the way to bring resource into schools.
