1 Overview

Started as a thesis project by Stanford d.School grad students who have a passion for hands-on learning, the SparkTruck was originally launched as a Kickstarter campaign called the SparkLab. The SparkTruck has travelled the country for the past two summmers.


2 Purpose

The purpose of the Kickstarter campaign was to collect funds needed to fill a delivery truck with cutting edge making tools and software that could be driven from school to school with the mission of bringing making back to kids. The SparkTruck did just that - they were able to visit over 2,600 students at 65 schools. 


3 Distinct Differences From Other Offerings

Mobile hands-on learning for kids! Project backed by Kickstarter meant to empower students and teachers to find their creative potential. 


4 Impact Achieved For Students and Campus

The journey of the SparkTruck: In the end, 15,323 miles, 33 states, and 2,673 students add up to one thing: a whole a lot of stories.
