INTRODUCTION

To engage people in collaboration, while they are competing with each other is often difficult. Stereotypes and limited insights in what's the value of collaboration can keep people away from working together. Though it is important to encourage people to collaborate since this often leads to the best outcomes due to the simple fact that a problem can be seen from many more different perspectives. Breanne Przestrzelski has shared her insights about how to hold competitions while also nurturing a collaborative environment.

BEING ENERGETIC AND OPEN MINDED

The first steps you should take when you want to create collaboration between students being passionate and energetic about your topic to create awareness for what you want to say. A next very crucial step is to be open-minded, because when you set up an event you are the example to which other people will be looking. If you are open for different ways to do something or to look at something other students will do the same and an atmosphere of collaboration can be created.
