Bio
Martin Silva is a student at the Catholic University of Uruguay, currently pursuing his second degree in Systems Engineering. After studying and graduating in Business Management, he decided to transition entirely into computer science. This shift was not just academic; he transitioned from leading a human resources department to becoming a programmer in just a matter of months.
Martin also has an entrepreneurial background, which sparked a significant interest in becoming a UI fellow. He was incubated at the university's innovation center called IThaKa, which supported his startup venture in 2020. While the project didn't thrive over the years, his drive for innovation and unique approaches remains steadfast. He is clear about his future aspirations: he wants to address and solve societal problems again. Additionally, he was one of the founding members of the university's entrepreneurship club back in 2019. Alongside other students, they established the club. Whenever time allows, Martin is always keen on hearing fresh ideas and attending as many related events as possible.
In his free time, Martin is an avid sports enthusiast. He played tennis throughout his childhood and adolescence, even competing in international tournaments. Another of Martin's passions is reading. He has even developed methodologies to learn more in less time, fueled by his insatiable curiosity about various subjects. Lastly, he cherishes quality time spent with friends and family.
