Mirella is an Electronic Engineering junior at Universidad de Ingeniería y Tecnología (UTEC) in Peru. Her motto in life: "''Whatever you decide to do, make sure it makes you happy"- Paulo Coelho''. This is why she decided to study to her major and add some of her passions into it: creativity and teaching. Ever since she was little, she has been interested in the Robotics field, and growing up, education and mental health became other interests in her life.
One of the things Mirella is most passionate about is education, and in a special way, to get students to reach their full potential. At UTEC, Mirella gives tutoring and lab lessons in the course of Thermodynamics. This has helped her being aware of student’s different learning abilities, their struggles and work is working on different ways to strengthen their potential. In another hand, given that she is interested in robotics, as her minor, and mental health, since in late 2018 she has been leading a team that has developed a robot named A.R.C.A, that will contribute to improve elderly mental health by making them feel accompanied at home, helping reduce their depression rate.
She describes herself as a empathic, sensitive and curious person. When you can't find her in working on robotics related projects at UTEC or giving tutoring, you may find her playing guitar covers of her favourite artists, baking with her sister, reading books or watching Figure Skating competitions ('''big fan'''). Since there is no ice skating rinks in Peru, she is determined to learn how to rollerskate sometime soon.
