Priorities:Ithaca College Student Priorities
Here are our four Strategic Priorities followed by the Key Tactics required to bring this project to life.

1.Host Entrepreneurial for Non-Business School Students to Get More Engagement on Campus
- Entrepreneurship Events targeting non-business student (ex. Focus week full of events, collaborative projects and competitions to increase engagement)
- Host events in schools other than the business school to get more campus engagement
- This could show students in other majors/schools that not all entrepreneurs come from business schools
- Advertise entrepreneurial events to a broader audience on campus through the Office of Student Engagement.
- Bring in guest speakers who are entrepreneurs in areas other than typical business (ex: freelance musicians or artists) to attract interest from other departments across campus.
- Offer a course designed for non-business majors to gain a basic understanding of entrepreneurship.

2.Increase Entrepreneurial Network
- Reach out to potential alums and guest speakers
- Plan the actual event (especially if it'll be cross departments)
- Allow students to be more entrepreneurial within their class assignments
- Normalize faculty collaborations
- Create an alumni network on campus for students and alums to connect, find internships, discuss job prospects, and create a network.
- Bring students from other departments on campus together more frequently
- Have professors serve as point-people for connecting students with mentors off-campus

3.Increase Entrepreneurial Spirit on Campus
- Create series of events, including a focus week throughout the year that is open for the general student body
- Targeting Specific schools and programs by inviting entrepreneurship experience speakers to attend classes in specific fields (like music, theater, film, etc.)
- Increase the amount of business pitch competitions, so students can go support getting funding and fixing a mentor and start their businesses, so that more students have start-up experiences during they time on college
- Implement design thinking in classes across different departments
- Create a series of videos of alumni of different departments who ended up creating innovations in their field and show the videos in class and/or invite them on campus for a combined class visit in Textor Hall
- Create a Student Leadership Institute (SLI) series designed to provide students with entrepreneurship and innovation skills
- Bring in more guest speakers, and host Q&A sessions where students can ask questions relevant to their own entrepreneurship journeys

4.Increase Student Resources in Each Department, Encouraging Entrepreneurship
- Working with the financial services office
- Working with the giving day coordinators
- Working with fundraising team at Ithaca
- Working with the ENVS department to give more students access to career-building resources
- Working with the ENVS department to work with more alumni
- Have a faculty member serve as an Entrepreneurship Ambassador in each department, so students can get relevant advice and assistance
- Encourage the creation of entrepreneurship clubs, particularly in relation to the different departments (ex: Entrepreneurship in Music Club)
- Train student advisors on how to assist students and encourage entrepreneurship at a collegiate level (ex: advisors can encourage students to think creatively, take risks and opportunities, and develop their ideas)
