Fellow:Alex Finch

Alex's passion is to expand the reach of human civilization and help alleviate global problems, through engineering. As a fourth year structural engineering major at UC San Diego he is interested primarily in the development of highly sophisticated aerospace structures.  Alex hopes to inspire others to find a deep passion that drives them to innovate for a better world. Alex is a Jacobs School of Engineering Gordon Scholar as well as a NACME and CAMP scholar. In his spare time he enjoys playing basketball, cooking, hiking, and spending time with family and friends. A native of the Bay Area he stays true to his roots by following the Oakland Raiders, Oakland Athletics, and Golden State Warriors. Alex plans to work towards a Master's Degree following graduation from UCSD.
