Overview
DECA, Distributive Education Clubs of America, is an international association that aims to prepare young emerging leaders/entrepreneurs in the fields of marketing, finance, hospitality, and management. Participation can begin as early as ninth grade, and continue until college graduation. DECA strives to prepare young students for careers in all business areas.
DECA has two student divisions, High School and Collegiate. Each division offers programs to cater to different learning styles and varying interests of its members. The High School division includes 190,000 members in 3,500 schools, and the Collegiate division (formerly known as Delta Epsilon Chi) includes over 15,000 members in 200 colleges and universities worldwide.
Purpose
The purpose of DECA is to provide learning opportunities for students in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management fields to develop technical and career skills, as well as___
Distinct Differences From Other Offerings:
ECA's scholarship program provides over $300,000 in scholarships at the International Career Development Conference (ICDC) each year
Offered at both highschools and universities
Competitions to gain more hands on experience

Steps Required To Bring Resource to Campus:
- DECA chapter must have an advisor, who teaches courses in marketing, entrepreneurship, finance or management.
- Chapters are organized into state associations providing additional extended learning opportunities. Each state/provincial association has a key leader that must be contacted.
- Each Member pays DECA Inc. dues of $8
